Serie A club, Cagliari are reportedly set to ramp up their attempts to sign Rangers striker, Cyriel Dessers.
The Red and Blue are desperate to reinforce their attack this month and have now turned to Dessers after negotiations for another forward broke down.
Cagliari could however face competition from another Serie A club, Empoli, who have been linked with the forward.
The 30-year-old could leave Rangers before the end of the winter transfer window in search of more regular playing time.
