Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has charged former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa to accept his fate.

Sani hinted that posterity would vindicate Obasa, hence he should calm down and thank God.

Posting on X, the former lawmaker urged Obasa to allow his successor, Mojisola Meranda to do her job.

He wrote: “Hon Obasa should just thank his God, accept his fate and calm down. It’s a rare privilege to occupy that seat and serve for that long.

“Not everyone can be that lucky in life. Allow the Honorable lady speaker to do her job; if he is actually good, posterity will vindicate him.”

Obasa was impeached as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly by lawmakers while he was in the United States.

Upon his return to Nigeria yesterday, Obasa insisted that he remained the Speaker until due process was followed.
