NPFL: Tornadoes lucky with victory over Kwara United – Sanni

Kwara United technical adviser Tunde Sanni believes that Niger Tornadoes were lucky to beat his team in their matchday 21 encounter.

The Harmony Boys lost 2-1 to their hosts at the Bako Kontagora Stadium, Minna, on Thursday.

Sanni stated that midfielder Isaa Gata’s red card affected his team’s performance.

Media Talk Africa reports that Gata received his marching orders for a reckless tackle on Tornadoes’ Abba Khalid in the early minutes of the game.

“Niger Tornadoes were a bit luckier in this game due to the red card and the careless goals we conceded,” Sanni remarked.

Kwara United occupy 12th position on the log with 26 points.

The Ilorin club will take on El-Kanemi Warriors in a matchday 22 fixture in Ikenne.
