NFF suspends two referees over misconduct

The Nigeria Football Federation Referees Committee has taken disciplinary action against two match officials who officiated the Nigeria National League Matchday 4 game between Solution FC and First Bank FC.

The affected officials are Ubong Amos Ekpanku (referee) and Emmanuel Ufi (assistant referee 1).

According to the committee, the match officials’ decisions during the game were not in line with the laws of the game. As a result, the officials have been “stepped down” with immediate effect.

“This decision is aimed at maintaining the integrity and standard of refereeing in Nigerian football,” the committee said.

The committee assured that it will continue to monitor and evaluate the performance of match officials to ensure they adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and fairness.
