‘My leg still hurts’ – Victony to undergo fifth surgery

Nigerian singer Anthony Ebuka Victor, popularly known as Victory, has revealed that he is still suffering from leg pain after undergoing four surgeries.

Media Talk Africa recalls that Victony in 2021 narrowly escaped death in a ghastly car accident that left one dead and three others injured. The accident kept him in a wheelchair for about a year.

In a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, the singer revealed that he was scheduled for a fifth surgery due to the persistent pain.

“My leg still hurts. I am still going to do another surgery. I’m living it. I have just accepted that experience.

“It’s what is making me who I am today. That’s my story. I don’t want to happily identify with it but it’s part of my story,” he said.

Victony disclosed that he was in a coma for three to four days after he was involved in the accident.

He said he suffered from “survival guilt” after finding out that someone died from the accident but he later snapped out of it.
