The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted a delay in rainfall across northern and central states during the 2025 rainy season.

The affected states include Plateau, parts of Kaduna, Niger, Benue, Nasarawa, Taraba, Adamawa, and Kwara.

NiMet also forecasts an early onset of rainfall in Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, and parts of Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Lagos, Edo, Enugu, Imo, and Ebonyi.

The agency advises farmers and residents in these regions to prepare accordingly for the expected weather patterns.

These predictions are part of NiMet’s annual climate outlook aimed at guiding agricultural and economic activities.
