Iwobi targets AFCON 2025 success with Super Eagles

Fulham winger, Alex Iwobi says his dream is to help Nigeria win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Eagles lost 2-1 to hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the final of the last edition of the competition.

Iwobi is optimistic they can go a step further this time around.

“To win the AFCON, we were close the last one, we want to win the next,” he told Chinansa Anukam, hostess of the podcast, Is this seat taken?

The Super Eagles will face Tunisia, Uganda and Tanzania in Group C at the 2025 AFCON finals which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

Eric Chelle’s side will take on the Taifa Stars of Tanzania in their opening fixture of the competition on Tuesday, January 22.
