Makinde, Adeleke, others in Lagos as South-West govs hold crucial meeting

The governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, and governors Lucky Aiyedatiwa and Biodun Oyebanji of Ondo and Ekiti, respectively, have arrived at Lagos House, Ikeja, ahead of the South-West Governors’ meeting on Thursday.

Governors Dapo Abiodun and Ademola Adeleke of Ogun and Osun states, respectively, have also arrived the venue of the meeting.

They were all ushered into the executive chamber by Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Sanwo-Olu, who is the chairman of the Forum, is hosting his colleagues in a crucial meeting.

The media will be briefed at the end of the meeting.

An earlier statement signed by Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said, “The South-West Governors’ Forum will discuss issues of common interest, such as agriculture and food security, to advance economic growth, foster collaboration and enhance development initiatives in the Zone.

“Security of lives and property will also be part of the agenda.”
