The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pledged to run a true government of the people, by the people and for the people if elected in next Saturday’s election. Speaking at the party’s presidential campaign rally in Maiduguri, Borno State, on Saturday, February 18, Tinubu reiterated his commitment to a government built on hard work, honesty and accountability in managing the country’s affairs. He also expressed joy at the strong turnout of the state’s residents at the rally.

The party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, shared Tinubu’s delight over the turnout and voiced confidence in the party’s ability to win the election. “Nothing, apart from the will of God, will deprive us of victory in the election,” he said.

Governor Babagana Zulum affirmed his confidence that Tinubu would uphold the trust of the people of Borno State. Also in attendance were Governors Abdullahi Ganduje, Mai Mala Buni, Muhammadu Badaru, Inuwa Yahaya and Abdullahi Sule, representing Kano, Yobe, Jigawa, Gombe and Nasarawa states, respectively.
