UCL: Gasperini declares Lookman fit for Club Brugge clash

Atalanta manager, Gian Piero Gasperini has declared Ademola Lookman fit for Tuesday’s (today) UEFA Champions League clash with Club Brugge.

The play-off second leg tie will hold at the Gewiss Stadium, Bergamo.

Lookman has been sidelined since sustaining a knee injury in training last month.

The injury forced the winger to miss La Dea’s last six games across all competitions.

The 27-year-old has however been included in Atalanta’s squad for the clash with Club Brugge after training with the team for the last two days.

“Lookman and Kolasinac have recovered, they are called up,” Gasperini said at a pre-match press conference as quoted by TMW.

“In principle, Kolasinac will start, and Lookman might come in during the second half.”

Atalanta must overturn a 2-1 first leg deficit to secure a place in the Round of 16.
