NPFL: Bendel Insurance’s Anthony ruled out for two months with injury

Bendel Insurance midfielder Anthony Nnamdi is set to be sidelined for eight weeks after sustaining an injury in their matchday 24 clash with Niger Tornadoes.

The Benin Arsenals disclosed this in a chat with Media Talk Africa on Tuesday.

“No injury except our midfielder Anthony Nnamdi who was brutally injured by Tornadoes goalkeeper,” Bendel Insurance media director Kehinde Osagiede told Media Talk Africa.

“He left the hospital three days ago and will be absent for two months.”

Anthony sustained the injury after Tornadoes goalkeeper Joshua Enaholo struck him in the chest with his boot.

The player suffered internal bleeding as a result of the incident.

Nnamdi has been discharged from the Intensive Care Unit of the Edo State Specialist Hospital where he was receiving treatment for the injury.
