NWFL approves new home venues for Ekiti Queens, Adamawa Queens

The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has changed the venue for two key fixtures in the second stanza.

The fixtures involving Ekiti Queens FC versus Edo Queens originally scheduled for the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado-Ekiti will now be played at the Ilorin Township Stadium, while Adamawa Queens clash against Rivers Angels will take place at the Makhwada Stadium, Numan, Adamawa State.

The change in venue of the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium was necessitated due to the rehabilitation work at the venue while Adamawa Queens moved to their permanent ground in Numan.

The NWFL chief operating officer, Modupe Shabi disclosed this in a statement.

Shabi stated that the changes were necessary to uphold match quality and player safety, with all affected clubs and relevant football associations duly informed.

The second stanza of the NWFL will commence on March 19th, 2025.
