Boboye seeks President Federation Cup success with Akwa United

Kennedy Boboye is desperate to guide Akwa United to their third President Federation Cup success this year.

The Promise Keepers will face Kebbi United in a Round of 64 contest at the Bwari Stadium, Abuja, on Wednesday.

Akwa United were eliminated by the same opponent in the Round of 32 last year.

Boboye declared that the Uyo club wants to go all the way this time around.

“The FA Cup is not new to Akwa United Football Club, having won the cup twice (2015 and 2017). It will be a thing of honor and pride for all of us and our fans to win the competition three times in ten years,” he told the club’s media.

“I have won the FA Cup once as a player in 2005 while playing for Dolphins, but I haven’t won it yet as a coach, so I would really like to win it this year with Akwa United.”
