2026 WCQ: ‘We went for sightseeing’ – Stanley Nwabali on Super Eagles’ win over Rwanda

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali has reacted to his side’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier 2-0 win over Rwanda on Friday.

Nwabali said Eric Chelle’s side went for ‘sightseeing’ against Rwanda, adding that it was a solid win for the visitors.

In a tweet via his X account after the game, Nwabali said: “Solid win and clean sheet. We went for sightseeing. Great team spirit!!!”

Media Talk Africa reports that a brace from Victor Osimhen gave the Super Eagles all three points against Rwanda in Kigali.

The result moved Nigeria to 4th position in Group C standing.

Chelle’s side now have six points from five matches and are just behind Rwanda with a point on the log.

The Super Eagles will clash with Zimbabwe on Tuesday in their next game.

However, Nwabali will hope to keep another clean sheet when Nigeria host Zimbabwe, who played 2-2 with Benin Republic in their own qualifier.
