NPFL: Shooting Stars pip Tornadoes to end winless streak

Shooting Stars defeated Niger Tornadoes 3-1 to end their six-game winless streak in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

Ayodeji Bamidele opened the scoring for the Oluyole Warriors seven minutes before the break.

The hosts doubled their lead through Anthony Okachi’s penalty on the stroke of half-time.

Sunday Williams halved the deficit for Niger Tornadoes six minutes after the hour mark.

Samuel Okon restored Shooting Stars’ two-goal lead in the 77th minute.

With the victory, Shooting Stars moved up to fourth position in the table, while Niger Tornadoes remain in 10th place.
