Okehi council chairman imposes curfew ahead of Senator Natasha’s Eid visit

Okehi Local Government Chairman, Amoka Monday, has imposed a curfew across the council area in anticipation of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s planned Sallah rally.
In an official statement, Amoka emphasized that the decision aligns with directives from the Kogi State Government and the Commissioner of Police to uphold law and order.

“This curfew takes immediate effect and imposes restrictions on movement and gatherings in specified locations,” the statement read.

He further warned that individuals found loitering or assembling in prohibited areas without official clearance would face arrest and prosecution.

“The security and well-being of our residents remain our top priority. We will not tolerate any actions that could disrupt the peace and stability of our communities,” Amoka added.
