Former Kwara United and Super Eagles B midfielder Afeez Nosiru is reveling in the excitement of his move to Greek first‑division side Panetolikos FC, according to Sports Extra. The club announced the signing on Saturday, confirming a two‑and‑a‑half‑year contract with the Nigerian midfielder via its official Twitter account.
Nosiru had reportedly finalized the deal before the end of last year, after two seasons with Kwara United. During that period he earned a call‑up to the Super Eagles B squad for friendly matches against Mexico, Ecuador and Costa Rica. Reflecting on the transfer, Nosiru told Sports Extra, “I feel so great and happy. I have waited for an opportunity like this which I believe will move me to the next phase of my career. I am already integrating with the team and I believe we will achieve greater things together.”
While at Kwara United, the former Niger Tornadoes player helped the club secure a continental berth by finishing fourth in the 2022 Nigeria Professional Football League. He has resumed training with Panetolikos but has yet to make his debut, as he was not included in the squad for the match‑day 23 fixture against Lonikos. Panetolikos currently sit seventh in the Greek Super League, with 27 points from 23 matches.
