EPL: Onyeka set for Brentford return after Augsburg loan

Nigeria midfielder Frank Onyeka will return to Premier League Brentford at the end of the season.

Onyeka joined Bundesliga club, Augsburg on loan last summer with the sole aim of playing regular football.

Augsburg are however not willing to sign the Nigeria international on a permanent transfer.

According to Sky Sport Germany’s transfer market expert, Florian Plettenberg, there has been no talks between Brentford and Augsburg over the player.

Onyeka has made 28 league appearances for Augsburg this season.

He signed a four-year contract with Brentford in 2023, with the option of another year.
