APC is making a difference – Tinubu — Daily Nigerian

Nigerian President Bola Tinubu recently spoke at the APC Renewed Hope Agenda Summit, addressing party leaders and highlighting the country’s progress under the All Progressives Congress. The event, held at the State House Conference Centre, brought together key figures from the National Working Committee, the National Assembly, and the Progressive Governors’ Forum, comprising 22 governors. In a show of unity, all attendees endorsed President Tinubu for a second term, according to his spokesman, Mr. Bayo Onanuga.

During his speech, President Tinubu emphasized that a one-party system is not suitable for democracy, assuring Nigerians that the country will not become a one-party state. He expressed satisfaction with the party’s accomplishments and anticipated further growth, stating, “You don’t expect people to remain in a sinking ship without a life jacket. I am happy with what we have accomplished and expecting more people to come; that’s the game.” The President also acknowledged citizens’ constitutional right to choose between associations, expressing gratitude to the attendees and reflecting on the journey that began 24 months ago.

President Tinubu commended members of the Federal Executive Council for their courage in pursuing a better Nigeria and thanked the party’s leadership and National Assembly for their support. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to tackling economic instability, improving security, reducing corruption, reforming governance, and lifting people out of poverty through the Renewed Hope Agenda. The President acknowledged that the reforms were tough decisions but necessary, stating, “Nothing good comes easy in life… sometimes, only hard decisions can make things easy in the future.”

The APC convened the summit to review the administration’s two-year performance across key economic sectors. President Tinubu highlighted the progress made, including the elimination of arbitrage-driven multiple foreign exchanges and the implementation of far-reaching tax reforms. He noted that these reforms have attracted foreign direct investments, which will create jobs and improve the standard of living for Nigerians. The President’s administration has received positive reviews from within and outside the country for its focus on economic reforms for long-term gains. As Nigeria continues on its path to economic recovery, President Tinubu’s message of hope and progress resonates with the nation, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and cooperation in achieving a brighter future.
