NLC appoints acting Chairman in Rivers State

The Rivers State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has appointed Comrade Moford Temple as the new acting state chairman.

Speaking at a State Executive Council meeting of the union, the state Chairperson of NLC, Comrade Beatrice Itubo said her decision to appoint an acting chairman, followed her involvement in active politics.

Comrade Itubo said the acting chairman would remain in office until March 7, 2023, when a state delegates election would be conducted.

Meanwhile, the Rivers State Council of the NLC, has appointed a three man election planning committee for the upcoming state delegates election billed for March 7, 2023.

Those appointed are Comrade Eze Awashi, Chairman, Comrade Derefaka Promise, member while Comrade Matthew Olabe is to serve as Secretary.
