Tinubu Administration’s Achievements Showcase Visionary Leadership in Nigeria

No administration has recorded Tinubu's achievements within two years - Information Minister

Nigeria’s Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has hailed the Tinubu administration’s achievements over the past two years as a testament to its visionary and courageous leadership. Speaking at the inaugural National Dialogue on Citizen Engagement and National Security in Abuja, Idris emphasized that the administration’s reforms and achievements are unparalleled in Nigeria’s democratic history.

The event, themed “One Voice, One Vision: Uniting Perspectives for a Stronger Nigeria,” was a platform for stakeholders to come together and discuss the country’s future. Idris noted that the forum was timely, as Nigeria is “at the confluence of purpose and possibility.” He praised the Voice of Nigeria (VON) for initiating the dialogue, which aims to harmonize policy perspectives with the lived experiences of ordinary Nigerians.

Idris highlighted the administration’s notable achievements, including the elimination of oil subsidies and forex racketeering, massive road infrastructure development, and the introduction of an unprecedented students’ loans scheme. He also mentioned the creation of the CreditCorp and the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development, which are expected to boost agriculture and stimulate confidence in the country’s young population.

The Minister further stated that the administration’s policies are yielding tangible outcomes, with food prices falling and insecurity being addressed. He emphasized the importance of national unity and citizen trust in achieving national security, saying, “There can be no national security without national unity. And there can be no unity without trust.”

Idris praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying that his leadership has inspired unity and trust among Nigerians. He also commended the Voice of Nigeria for its role in shaping narratives and forging national identity, ensuring that the voice of Nigeria is heard and respected globally.

The Minister called for synergy among national stakeholders, including government, media, civil society, and the security community. He emphasized that Nigerians do not need uniformity to achieve unity, but rather can embrace their diverse identities while remaining united in purpose. Idris encouraged participants to leave the dialogue with a renewed commitment to truth, equity, transparency, and compassion in their communities.

Overall, the National Dialogue on Citizen Engagement and National Security marked an important step towards fostering unity and trust among Nigerians. With the Tinubu administration’s achievements and the Voice of Nigeria’s efforts, the country is poised to make significant progress in the years to come.
