Rema’s ‘Rave & Roses Ultra’ becomes first African album to hit 3 billion streams on YouTube Music
Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has set an African first record on streaming platform, YouTube Music.

This is as the ultra version of his debut album, ‘Rave & Roses’ becomes the first African project to hit the milestone of 3 billion streams on the platform.

A check by Media Talk Africa on Wednesday revealed that ‘Rave & Roses’ has surpassed 3 billion streams on YouTube Music.

Hit song ‘Calm Down’ and the remix version with American superstar Selena Gomez accounted for most of the streams.

‘Rose & Roses Ultra’ is also the most streamed African album on Spotify with 3.9 billion streams.

It is the first African album to join the 2 billion club and the only Nigerian project to surpass that threshold on the platform.
