As the Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese, Yohanna expressed optimism that the difficulties facing the state will soon come to an end.
In his Sallah message, Yohanna urged residents of Niger State to use the period for introspection and to seek God’s mercy. He emphasized the importance of hope and perseverance, especially in the face of the recent devastating flood that affected Mokwa Local Government Area. The flood has caused immense destruction, and Yohanna encouraged everyone, including the government, to offer support to those affected. He also prayed for the souls of those who lost their lives in the disaster.
Yohanna’s message of love, peace, and unity resonated deeply, as he encouraged Nigerians to embrace their neighbors regardless of their tribe or religion. He called on everyone to be agents of peaceful coexistence, promoting unity and reaching out to those in need, especially in Mokwa.
