‘Nigerians are now happy’ – Okey Osuoha confirms PDP crisis has ended

Deputy National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Okey Osuoha, has said that all the party’s issues have been settled, adding that there are no factions any more.

He stated this on Arise News on Monday, hours after party’s National Executive Council, NEC, meeting held at the party‘s headquarters in Abuja.

According to him, all parties at the PDP have agreed to settle their disputes and move forward, adding that it was a unanimous decision.

“All issues have been settled. I’ve told you there’s no factions for now. That settlement is that Anyanwu is the national secretary.

“These are ways we move it forward, and that’s why I say today, all the parties have agreed. Dispute has been settled, and we’ll now move forward,” he said.

He went further to confirm that every member of the party’s NEC was in the meeting and agreed with every decision taken.

“So it was just a unanimous decision that agreed to move forward. And it’s a very welcome development. I was happy, because let me tell you, every Nigerian looks up to BDP as the bastion of democracy,” he added.

Media Talk Africa earlier reported that the acting National Chairman of the PDP, Umar Damagum declared that the party’s NEC has affirmed Samuel Anyanwu as the national secretary.
