Naira depreciates against dollar across official, black markets after Easter holidays

The naira depreciated against the dollar across official and parallel foreign exchange markets to end the week on a negative note on Friday.

The Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that the naira dropped against the dollar on Friday to N1,528.56 from N1,525.83 exchanged on Thursday.

This showed that the naira fell by N2.73 against the dollar on a day-to-day basis.

Similarly, at the black market, the naira dropped against the dollar to N1,570 on Friday from N1,560 exchanged the previous day.

Meanwhile, Media Talk Africa reports that in a week of analysis, the naira recorded four straight appreciations against the dollar
