Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye, one half of the defunct music duo, P-Square, has claimed that he is the only certified musician in his family despite his twin brother and ex-bandmate, Paul Okoye also being a musician.
Speaking at a recent AY Live event, Mr P claimed those who labelled him “talentless” was responsible for P-Square’s split, stressing that their hype of his twin brother Paul, whom they claimed was more talented than him, got into his (Paul’s) head.
He explained that he is the only member of his family who has a music certificate and can’t be called “talentless.”
He sang, danced, and played guitar and piano to prove to the audience he is talented.
Mr P said, “I have sang and danced but they told you I am talentless. I will prove myself today. The reason P-Square slipt was because two brothers were doing their thing and some fans started saying one was more talented than the other and it got into his head and he started misbehaving.
“They lied to you. In the whole of Okoye’s family, I’m the only one with music certificate. I read music. But they lied to you. I know the liars but let’s leave it. I have sang, danced and played the piano and the guitar, is it easy?”
