APC Chieftain Claims PDP lacks Direction in Bauchi State Politics
In a bold assertion, Comrade Sabo Muhammad, a high-ranking member of Nigeria’s All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State, has challenged the dominance of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state. Speaking at a reception held in his honor by the Shehu Buba Vanguard, Muhammad dismissed the PDP’s apparent strength and expressed confidence in the APC’s prospects for the 2027 general elections.
Muhammad attributed the PDP’s perceived weaknesses to its lack of a credible candidate capable of rivalry with APC’s aspirant. “The PDP is directionless inasmuch as they lack a viable candidate that can match ours,” hestated. He emphasized the significance of unity within the APC, highlighting the party’s strong and widely accepted candidate who has a deep understanding of Bauchi State’s political landscape. Muhammad disclosed that the APC is strategically preparing to secure victory in 2027, leveraging all available resources and opportunities.
Muhammad, recently appointed as a new media aide to Senator Shehu Buba who represents Bauchi South, revealed that a comprehensive media blueprint has been developed. This blueprint aims to promote the APC’s candidate and drive a unified campaign message. He urged fellow party members to cooperate and work collectively towards their shared goals.
The Director General of the Shehu Buba Vanguard, Ishaq Dabo, said the reception was staged to celebrate Muhammad’s appointment and reaffirm support for Senator Shehu Buba’s gubernatorial ambitions in 2027. Dabo lauded Buba as the ideal candidate to bear the APC’s flag, citing his record and influence: “He has created job opportunities, empowered youth, and renovated and constructed primary schools and healthcare facilities, even constructing Bauchi State’s first tiled road.”
The Shehu Buba Vanguard, a political support group, was established to rally support for Senator Shehu Buba Umar’s gubernatorial bid in Bauchi State. As the political scene in Bauchi State heats up, the statements made by these prominent figures suggest a keenly contested race in the run-up to 2027.
