Young Jonn avoids serious relationships for platonic ones

Nigerian singer Young Jonn has shed light on his current relationship status, stating that he is not ready to commit to a single partner at this time. In a recent interview on the ‘Way Up’ podcast, hosted by Angela Yee, the 30-year-old artist expressed his preference for platonic relationships over romantic ones.

Young Jonn emphasized that his decision stems from his inability to devote ample time and attention to a partner, citing his current phase in life. “Everybody loves love, but I’m not in that space where I can give so much of myself to one person,” he said. “I’m just keeping it platonic with everybody.” The singer clarified that he does not want a serious relationship at present, as he feels he cannot provide the necessary commitment and attention to a partner.

This revelation comes after Young Jonn’s rumored romance with Adenike Adeleke, also known as Nikos Living, reportedly came to an end. The two had sparked relationship speculations in early 2024 after Nikos shared photos and posts featuring herself and Young Jonn on social media. However, signs of a breakup emerged in August 2025, including the duo unfollowing each other on social media and deleting their joint photos.

As a prominent figure in the Nigerian music industry, Young Jonn’s relationship status has garnered significant attention from fans and media outlets. His decision to focus on platonic relationships may be seen as a strategic move, allowing him to prioritize his career and personal growth. With his music career continuing to thrive, fans will be watching to see how Young Jonn’s personal life evolves in the coming months. For now, the singer remains committed to his craft, with his relationship status taking a backseat to his professional pursuits.
