On Saturday, a cloudy atmosphere with intervals of sunshine is expected over the northern region, with isolated thunderstorms and moderate rains anticipated over several states, including Taraba, Adamawa, and Kaduna. The central region is expected to experience cloudy skies with intervals of sunshine, while the southern region is likely to see moderate rains over parts of Lagos, Ogun, and other states.

For Sunday, NiMet predicts cloudy skies with intervals of sunshine over the northern region, with chances of isolated thunderstorms and light rains over parts of Yobe, Jigawa, Kano, and Katsina States. The central and southern regions are also expected to experience cloudy skies with prospects of moderate rains.

NiMet has advised residents to take necessary precautions, including avoiding driving under heavy rain and refraining from applying fertilizer and pesticides before the rains. The agency also cautioned against loose objects that could cause collisions and advised staying away from tall trees to avoid falling branches.
