JAMB dismisses two staff for document forgery in Benue

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, on Wednesday dismissed two of its staff for gross misconduct.

JAMB identified the two dismissed staff as Bilyaminu Ishaku and Andrew Anebi Candidus from its Benue State branch Office in Markurdi.

A statement by JAMB spokesman Fabian Benjamin on Wednesday accused the dismissed staff of document forgery.

The body noted that their dismissal took effect on 27th February 2023.

JAMB said their dismissal was subjected to the Public Service Rule 030401.

The statement read in parts: “Sequel to your appearance before the Senior Staff Disciplinary Committee and the subsequent recommendations of the committee, I am directed to convey to you the approval of the Honourable Minister of Education of your dismissal from the service of the Board from 27th February 2023 for serious misconduct.”

JAMB said the affected staff were directed to submit their identity cards and all other property of the Board to the state Coordinator, JAMB Office, Benue State.
