Troops from the Joint Task Force, Operation Enduring Peace, arrested 25 suspected drug peddlers in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State. The operation, carried out at Layin Sabon Kasuwa, also yielded the recovery of various illicit substances. According to Maj. Samson Zhakom, the media officer for the operation, the suspects were found in possession of materials believed to be Cannabis sativa and other illegal drugs. He noted that the activities of these peddlers have significantly contributed to the security challenges facing the state.
