Blessing Adeniran, the mother of 12‑year‑old Whitney—a pupil at Chrisland School who tragically died during the school’s inter‑house sports—has revealed that an autopsy confirmed her daughter’s death was caused by electrocution. She shared this information during an Instagram Live video on Wednesday and expressed gratitude for the support she has received during this challenging time. “I want to thank everyone for your support; your calls and messages have helped us get through this very difficult period,” she said.

In the video, Adeniran stated, “The autopsy result is out, and Desola was electrocuted. My daughter died of electrocution.” She described the trauma she has endured over the past two weeks, noting that tomorrow marks three weeks since her daughter’s death. Adeniran recounted how the school initially made her feel as though she was losing her sanity, pushing the narrative that Whitney had been sickly. She mentioned that the school sent out letters and publications that contributed to the public’s negative perception of her family, adding, “People insult…”.
