Vice‑President Kashim Shettima has returned to Abuja after a week‑long international engagement that included the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and strategic meetings in Germany, where he represented President Bola Tinubu. According to his spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha, Shettima delivered President Tinubu’s national statement at the UNGA, calling for comprehensive reforms of the United Nations and urging greater African control over the continent’s $700 billion worth of mineral resources.
