The “A Mad Pursuit” quest in *Ghost of Yotei* continues the gripping Oni storyline, placing players in the role of Atsu, a skilled hunter determined to dismantle the infamous Yotei Six. The mission begins at the Ishikari Market, where Atsu must track down Mad Goro, a traitorous Oni Raider. To start, players head to the market and interact with the Bounty Board to accept the bounty titled “The Traitorous Raider Mad Goro.”

The quest blends stealth, investigation, and combat, creating a cinematic and immersive experience. Players encounter and defeat Raiders, eavesdrop on patrons in a sake bar to gather clues, and battle additional Raiders outside the bar. Their investigation leads to a campsite where a charred corpse must be examined, triggering a cutscene that introduces a group of ronin also after Mad Goro’s bounty.

In the final stages, players defeat the ronin, ride to the Oni Raider camp, and locate Mad Goro, examining the Raiders’ corpses along the way. A chase ensues, requiring players to avoid Mad Goro’s explosive attacks before engaging in a fierce battle. Once defeated, Atsu and Jubei subdue Mad Goro, bringing the quest to a close.

“A Mad Pursuit” is a significant step in unraveling the mystery of the Yotei Six and sets the stage for the next chapter of Ghost of Yotei’s Oni saga. With its engaging storyline, challenging combat sequences, and immersive gameplay, the quest keeps players invested. The capture of Mad Goro marks a crucial milestone in the game’s narrative, promising more thrilling quests and challenges as the adventure continues.
