Tunisia Wins 3-0 Over Namibia in World Cup Qualifier

Tunisia secured a comfortable 3-0 home victory over Namibia on Monday, closing its African qualifying campaign for the 2026 World Cup with a strong performance. The match saw Ali Abdi convert a 28th-minute penalty kick, while Hannibal Mejbri and Ferjani Sassi added second-half goals to seal the win for the hosts.

Tunisia’s win cemented its position at the top of Group H, with 28 points from 10 matches, finishing 13 points ahead of second-place Namibia. On Sunday, Ghana became the fifth African nation to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, joining Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, and Morocco at next year’s tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Ghana’s qualification is a significant achievement, having previously reached the quarterfinals in 2010.
