The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed concerns that its recent influx of defectors from opposition parties could undermine the country’s democratic landscape. According to Felix Morka, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, the defections are a legitimate exercise of constitutional rights and do not signify a decline in democracy.

In an interview on Arise News, Morka emphasized that the decisions of members from the Peoples Democratic Party, Labour Party, and African Democratic Congress to join the APC are in line with democratic principles.
