The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Benue State has reassured its members of equal opportunities and stakeholdership within the party. This assurance was given by the state’s interim chairman, Terngu Tsegba, during the party’s official unveiling in Otukpo Local Government Area on Saturday.
Tsegba emphasized the party’s commitment to providing a level playing field for all members, particularly during the selection process. He noted that the party’s leadership values justice and equity, and as such, no member will be discriminated against regardless of their background or tenure in the party. According to Tsegba, all members are considered equal, with the same rights to aspire to any position within the party.
The interim chairman commended the people of Otukpo LGA for their resolve to support the opposition coalition and assured them that their loyalty is recognized and valued. He urged them to maintain their support for the party as it works towards forming a strong opposition to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and ultimately taking power in 2027.
Dr. David Ọlofu, a former Benue Commissioner of Finance and senatorial aspirant, spoke on behalf of the members, promising that the people of the area will vote massively for the ADC in the next polls. The event was attended by several state executives of the party, including Samson Okwu, Herman Hembe, and John Ngbede, among others.
The ADC’s assurance of equal stake and opportunities for its members is significant, given the party’s goal of providing a viable alternative to the ruling APC. As the party continues to strengthen its presence in Benue State, its commitment to justice, equity, and inclusivity is likely to resonate with voters seeking a change in leadership. With the 2027 elections on the horizon, the ADC’s efforts to build a strong and united front will be crucial in determining its chances of success.
