Jaipur Pink Panthers Secure Victory Over Haryana Steelers in Pro Kabaddi 2025 Play-in 1
The Jaipur Pink Panthers have advanced to the Eliminator stage of the Pro Kabaddi 2025 after defeating defending champions Haryana Steelers 30-27 on Saturday, October 25. This victory marks a significant milestone for the Panthers, who have a relatively new team with several youngsters this season.
According to Jaipur Pink Panthers’ head coach Narender Redhu, the team’s strategy was to avoid Haryana’s main defenders, Jaideep Dahiya and Rahul Sethpal. “Our plan was to avoid Jaideep and Rahul, who are their main defenders. And we did that,” Redhu said during the post-match press conference. He expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance, noting that the victory boosts their confidence, particularly among the young players.
The Panthers’ defense played a crucial role in securing the win, with Redhu stating that they had planned to keep their defense tight to counter Haryana’s strong defense. The team’s ability to maintain their lead and not let it slip away was a key factor in their success.
Haryana Steelers’ head coach Manpreet Singh reflected on the defeat, acknowledging that the Jaipur Pink Panthers played better and that his team could not play to their full potential. Singh noted that the loss marked the end of their season and that they would need to work on their mistakes for the next season. The team also missed raider Naveen Kumar, who was ruled out due to injury after playing just four games this season.
The Jaipur Pink Panthers will face Patna Pirates in Eliminator 1 on Sunday, October 26, while the Haryana Steelers will aim to make a stronger comeback next season. The Steelers’ coach expressed hope that Naveen Kumar would recover from his injury and potentially continue with the team, but ultimately, the decision would depend on the raider himself.
The Pro Kabaddi 2025 season continues to unfold, with teams vying for a spot in the finals. The Jaipur Pink Panthers’ victory over the Haryana Steelers has set the stage for an exciting Eliminator stage, and fans can expect intense competition in the upcoming matches.
