Osun PDP Tells APC to Fix Internal Crisis

BREAKING: All Delta PDP Reps defect to APC

The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has responded to allegations made by the All Progressives Congress (APC), urging the opposition party to address its internal conflicts rather than involving the PDP. In a statement issued by the PDP Director of Media, Hezekiah Oladele Bamiji, the party dismissed the APC’s allegations as baseless and described them as a desperate attempt to cover up the APC’s internal disarray.

The PDP statement noted that the APC’s leadership battles and factional divisions are public knowledge, making it laughable for the party to accuse the PDP of fabrications. According to Bamiji, the APC is at war with itself, and its leaders are seeking scapegoats. He emphasized that Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration remains committed to governance and will not be distracted by opposition noise.

The PDP highlighted its achievements in the state, including road construction, health center revitalization, school rehabilitation, and timely payment of workers’ salaries. The party stated that its transparency and developmental strides have earned it goodwill across the state, with various groups, including teachers, traders, pensioners, and students, feeling the positive impact of its governance.

The APC, on the other hand, has denied a purported list of consensus candidates circulating on social media, describing it as fake and politically motivated. The party’s chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, accused the PDP of fabricating and spreading the false list to create confusion ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

The PDP has urged journalists and members of the public to verify information from the APC before publication, reaffirming its commitment to peace and progress in the state. The party emphasized that its focus remains on improving the lives of Osun residents through people-oriented policies, and it will not be dragged into the APC’s internal conflicts. The PDP advised the APC to focus on resolving its internal issues rather than shifting blame, stating that it will continue to work on fixing the state’s problems.
