Manchester United will travel to the City Ground on Saturday to take on Nottingham Forest in a Premier League clash. Coming off a 4-2 victory over Brighton, manager Ruben Amorim is eager to maintain the team’s momentum.
In a Thursday press conference, Amorim updated the squad’s injury status. He confirmed that midfielder Martinez is still not ready to return, explaining, “He wants to go to this one, he is not going to this one, he is going to take time.” Although Martinez has begun training with the group, Amorim stressed that a gradual approach is necessary to avoid setbacks. He praised Martinez’s influence in training, noting, “He is really good, he gives us that edge in every training session, and that is also really good for us.”
Aside from Martinez, Amorim said most of the squad are fit, though he could not confirm the availability of Harry Maguire, adding, “I think the rest is fit.” With one more day of training left, the manager will finalize his lineup and tactics for the Saturday evening encounter.
Both sides are looking to secure a positive result and improve their positions in the Premier League, setting the stage for an exciting match.
