African Democratic Congress Kicks Off Membership Drive

Insecurity: APC, PDP don’t care about Nigerians - ADC

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Imo State has launched a membership registration exercise across the 27 local government areas (LGAs) as part of its strategy to bolster its presence and organizational structure ahead of the 2027 general elections. This initiative aims to strengthen the party’s grassroots mobilization, particularly in rural areas.

According to James Okoroma, the State Chairman of the ADC, the registration exercise underscores the party’s commitment to deepening its roots in the state and promoting effective democracy through inclusive governance. Okoroma emphasized that Nigeria’s development has been hindered by being on the wrong track, necessitating a change in approach.

The ADC, as described by Okoroma, represents a movement for renewal, driven by Nigerians from diverse backgrounds who are committed to making sacrifices for the benefit of future generations. The party’s vision is to establish a new government that prioritizes critical sectors such as education, healthcare, technology, security, and improved living standards. Okoroma urged party members to remain united, loyal, and steadfast in their commitment to the party’s ideals, which are built on integrity, empathy, and competence.

The membership registration exercise kicked off with a gathering of key stakeholders, including party leaders, LGA chairmen, and ward chairmen from nine selected council areas. This move is seen as a significant step towards consolidating the party’s presence in Imo State and positioning it for greater impact in the upcoming elections. By focusing on grassroots mobilization and organizational strengthening, the ADC aims to enhance its chances of success in the 2027 general elections and contribute to Nigeria’s democratic development.
