Notice claiming civil service recruitment concluded is forged - Adamawa Govt

The Adamawa State Government has refuted a notice circulating on social media that claimed the recruitment of young people into the civil service had been concluded. The state Civil Service Commission, which is overseeing the recruitment process, said the notice is forged and its contents are entirely false, urging the public to disregard the document.

The purported notice, allegedly signed by Permanent Secretary Abubakar Maiha, claimed that all stages of the recruitment—application, screening, CBT exam, interview, and final selection—had been completed. The commission clarified that it never issued such a press statement and that the permanent secretary’s signature on the notice was criminally forged.

The recruitment exercise, launched several months ago to fill 4,000 vacant positions, is still ongoing. The commission is finalizing the necessary procedures and will announce an official update in due course through verified government communication channels. It warned that any individual or group involved in producing or circulating forged official documents will face the full force of the law.

Applicants who have participated in the recruitment are assured that the process is being conducted transparently and that they will be informed of the outcome through official channels. The commission’s statement, signed by Permanent Secretary Abubakar Maiha, emphasized the importance of verifying information through authorized sources to avoid misinformation.

The incident highlights the need for caution when sharing information on social media, especially regarding official announcements. The public is advised to rely on verified government communication channels for accurate, up-to-date information on the recruitment process. As the exercise continues, the Adamawa State Government remains committed to filling the vacant positions in a fair and transparent manner.
