The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has issued an important update for candidates shortlisted for the upcoming online Computer‑Based Test (CBT). In a statement released by the Board’s Secretary, retired Maj‑Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril, candidates are advised to log in 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. This directive aims to ensure a seamless and efficient examination process.

The online CBT is a critical component of the recruitment process for paramilitary services. By logging in early, candidates can complete any necessary pre‑test procedures, become familiar with the test interface, and address technical concerns before the examination begins. This preparation helps minimize disruptions and facilitates a smooth candidate experience.

The Board is currently overseeing the selection of suitable candidates for various roles within the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services. The CBT assesses applicants’ knowledge, skills, and aptitude for the positions they have applied for, representing a key stage in the recruitment process. In releasing this guidance, the Board emphasizes its commitment to fairness, transparency, and efficiency, providing clear instructions and support so that all shortlisted candidates have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their abilities.

As the examination dates approach, candidates are urged to follow the Board’s instructions carefully and take necessary steps to prepare for the online CBT. This includes verifying login credentials, ensuring reliable internet connectivity, and familiarizing themselves with the test format and content. Proper preparation can optimize performance and increase the chances of success in the recruitment process.

The outcome of the CBT will be critical in determining the next stages of recruitment, with successful candidates progressing to further evaluation and assessment. The Board remains committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, merit, and fairness in selecting personnel for the paramilitary services.
