'I'd have won BBNaija S4 if I weren't disqualified' - Tacha

Former Big Brother Naija star Anita Natacha Akide, known as Tacha, has set two new Guinness World Records for completing the most cosmetic makeovers in eight‑hour and 24‑hour periods. Guinness World Records confirmed the achievement on social media, noting that Tacha successfully secured both titles during the three‑day Tacha Beauty Festival, which ran from 10 to 12 October 2025 at the John Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture & History in Lagos.

The record attempt featured 150 models, and Tacha completed 82 makeovers within eight hours and 144 makeovers in 24 hours. In an emotional Instagram post, she thanked her fans, her team, and her late mother, attributing her success to their support and her own persistence. She recalled the challenges she faced, including sleepless nights and physical exhaustion, but emphasized that encouragement from her team and fans kept her going.

According to Tacha, the idea of setting a record stemmed from her passion for makeup and her desire to showcase Nigerian women’s capabilities. She wanted to demonstrate that African women deserve global recognition and that creativity can be a powerful tool for achieving success. Her achievement highlights the potential of African women in the beauty and cosmetics industry and underscores the importance of perseverance and hard work in reaching goals.

The Guinness World Records recognition testifies to Tacha’s dedication and talent, and her feat is likely to inspire others to pursue their passions and push beyond their limits. With this record‑setting accomplishment, Tacha has cemented her position as a prominent figure in the beauty and entertainment sectors, and her success is expected to have a lasting impact on her career and the industry as a whole.
