APC Endorses Tinubu for 2027 Re-election

Northern Nigerian leaders hail Tinubu on infrastructural developments

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State has officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in the 2027 general elections. This move follows a series of stakeholders’ meetings held after the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, visited the state for three days.

According to Yusuf Idris, the APC Publicity Secretary in Zamfara, the party’s leadership, led by Chairman Tukur Danfulani, resolved to endorse President Tinubu due to his administration’s achievements in economic reforms and national security. Idris disclosed this information while briefing journalists in Gusau on Saturday.

The endorsement was formalized in a letter addressed to President Tinubu through Matawalle, signed by the APC chairman and secretary. This letter resulted from stakeholders’ meetings held on November 1 in Talata-Mafara and November 14 at the party secretariat in Gusau, guided by former governor and influential party leader, Senator Abdulaziz Yari.

Idris added that APC stakeholders from all 14 local government areas validated the endorsement through individually signed letters submitted to the State Executive Committee. This collective affirmation has bolstered the party’s confidence in securing a decisive victory across the North-West in the 2027 general elections.

The APC’s early endorsement of President Tinubu highlights the party’s strategic approach to the upcoming elections. With the country’s political landscape continually evolving, the APC’s move is seen as a significant step towards consolidating support for the incumbent president.

As Nigeria prepares for the 2027 general elections, political parties are intensifying their efforts to mobilize support and strengthen their positions. The APC’s endorsement of President Tinubu in Zamfara State underscores the party’s commitment to his re-election bid. The outcome of this endorsement and its impact on the electoral landscape will be closely watched in the coming months.
