Imisi Mother Feud: Ijebu Urges Reconciliation

Nollywood actor Olatayo Amokade, popularly known as Ijebu, has called on Big Brother Naija season 10 winner, Imisi, to put an end to her ongoing social media dispute with her mother. In a video shared on his Instagram page, Ijebu urged Imisi to seek forgiveness and reconcile with her mother.

The dispute between Imisi and her mother began after Imisi won the N150 million BBNaija prize money. Imisi had previously spoken about her traumatic childhood experiences on the reality show, including being raped twice at the age of 12 and having an abortion at 13. She also stated that her father sent her out of the house when she was 11 years old, and she had to sell fufu with her grandmother to survive.

Recently, Imisi’s mother claimed in a viral video that she had been abandoned by her daughter. Imisi responded, questioning the timing of her mother’s complaint and pointing out that they had a strained relationship prior to her rise to fame. Imisi noted that her mother had not been in touch with her for years and only reached out after she won the reality show.

Ijebu’s intervention comes as the public dispute between Imisi and her mother continues to gain attention on social media. The actor emphasized the importance of honoring one’s parents, citing biblical teachings. He advised Imisi to visit her mother, apologize, and seek her blessing. Ijebu stated that Imisi’s mother is her “mini god” and deserves respect, regardless of past mistakes.

The ongoing feud between Imisi and her mother has sparked a wider conversation about family relationships, trauma, and the challenges of fame. As the situation continues to unfold, it remains to be seen whether Imisi will heed Ijebu’s advice and seek reconciliation with her mother. The actor’s call for forgiveness and respect for one’s parents has resonated with many, highlighting the importance of family values and the need for healing and understanding in difficult situations.
