APC Ready To Reclaim Oyo State In 2027

2027: APC ready to reclaim Oyo - Ex-Senate Leader Folarin

Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, a former Senate Leader, has stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has learned from its defeats in the 2019 and 2023 elections. Folarin, who was the APC’s gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 election, made this assertion during his elevation to Agbaakin Olubadan of Ibadanland by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja.

The APC suffered losses to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 and 2023 gubernatorial elections in Oyo State. However, Folarin expressed confidence that the party is ready to reclaim the state in the 2027 elections. He noted that all party chieftains and leaders have resolved to work together to achieve this goal.

Folarin recently met with President Bola Tinubu, where they discussed strategies to improve the APC’s performance in Oyo State. He emphasized that the party has the capacity to reclaim the state in 2027 and that his goal, along with other APC members, is to ensure the party’s victory in the next general elections.

The former Senate Leader views his elevation by the Olubadan as an opportunity to serve the people more. He described the unique system in Ibadan as “rancor-free” and expressed happiness at the promotion. Folarin also stated that he and other party members will work hard to sell their message and improve their results, aiming to increase their votes from over 400,000 to over 600,000.

The APC’s efforts to reclaim Oyo State in 2027 will involve going around the state to sell their message and working together to win. Folarin emphasized the importance of party unity and love, stating that they “must love the party” to achieve their goal. With the party’s leaders and chieftains working together, the APC is poised to make a strong comeback in the 2027 elections.
