A recent attack by unidentified gunmen on the Isapa community in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State has resulted in the kidnapping of a pregnant woman, 10 children, two nursing mothers, and several other individuals. According to eyewitnesses, an estimated 20 to 30 armed bandits stormed the community, accompanied by a large herd of cattle and firing sporadically, causing panic among residents.
The assault reportedly left an elderly woman injured after being struck by a stray bullet. A community leader confirmed that 11 people were abducted, including seven members of the same family. The victims have been identified as Talatu Kabiru, Magaji, Kande, Hadiza, Mariam, Saima, Habibat, Fatima Yusufu, Sarah Sunday, Lami Fidelis, and Haja Na Allah.
The attackers escaped through bush paths connecting Eruku to neighboring communities, leaving residents in a state of fear and uncertainty. This incident occurs barely two weeks after a similar attack on the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), where 38 members were kidnapped, and some reportedly lost their lives. However, it has been reported that all 38 abducted victims from the church incident have since been rescued.
