The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State has announced the defection of two lawmakers from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to its fold. According to a statement by the PDP Publicity Secretary, Halliru Andi, Sulaiman Hassan-Bosko and Nura Dahiru, representing Mafara I and Birnin Magaji constituencies, respectively, have joined the party.

The defection is seen as a significant development in the state’s political landscape, with the PDP attributing it to the “deepening crisis, internal rancour, and poor leadership” within the APC.
