The Accord Party has issued a stern warning against any attempts to undermine its unity and stability as it prepares for upcoming elections in Nigeria. National Chairman Barr. Maxwell Mgbudem emphasized the party’s commitment to maintaining harmony and indivisibility during a National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja on Friday. He reiterated that the party is a unified entity, with no factions at national or state levels, guided by its ideology of “Oneness and Progress.” Recent judicial victories, he noted, have solidified the party’s leadership and internal processes.
Mgbudem acknowledged that some individuals have resorted to unnecessary litigation in an attempt to distract the party. With crucial elections on the horizon—including the 2026 FCT council elections, the Ekiti and Osun state governorship polls, and the 2027 general election—he urged party members to remain vigilant and united. He cautioned that the party will not tolerate any actions or utterances that seek to undermine its unity and stability, emphasizing the importance of discipline and collective resolve in achieving victory.
The party’s leadership has reaffirmed its commitment to upholding core values and principles, ensuring that internal conflicts do not hinder progress. By maintaining a strong, cohesive stance, the Accord Party aims to preserve its position as a significant political force in Nigeria. As the country approaches these significant elections, the party’s ability to stay united and focused will be crucial to its success. With its sights set on the upcoming polls, the Accord Party is gearing up to capitalize on its strengths and make a meaningful impact on the nation’s political landscape.
